The examination format for the DSSSB Technical Assistant has been designed to assess both general aptitude and specialized knowledge. The written test is conducted online and split into two main parts, Section A and Section B.

In total, candidates face 200 objective-type questions. Each question is of one mark, adding up to a maximum score of 200. Candidates have a total of two hours to attempt the entire paper. Each incorrect response results in a deduction of 0.25 marks.
