DSSSB Delhi PGT Vacancy 2025 Details

Eligibility Criteria for DSSSB Post Graduate Teacher

Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks. Along with this, they are required to have a professional teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or an equivalent certification recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Candidates with integrated qualifications, like B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed., or a three-year B.Ed.-M.Ed. program from a recognized institution, are also eligible to apply. As there is no mandatory experience requirement, this opportunity is open to both fresh graduates and experienced candidates.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for candidates applying for PGT positions is 30 years. Age relaxations apply to certain categories as per government norms:

• SC & ST: Up to 5 years of relaxation.
• OBC: Up to 3 years of relaxation.
• Government Servants: Up to 5 years of relaxation.
• Contractual Employees in the Same Department: Relaxation up to the duration of service (maximum 5 years).

DSSSB PGT Application Fee

The DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2025 application fee is Rs 100 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories. However, candidates from SC/ST categories, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and women applicants are exempted from paying the fee.

The fee must be paid online through the SBI e-pay portal, and no other payment modes will be accepted. Note that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Applicants must apply through the online mode by visiting the official DSSSB portal. Follow these steps to complete the registration and application process:

1. Visit the official DSSSB website.
2. Register on the portal if you are a new user. Existing users can directly log in with their credentials.
3. Navigate to the “PGT Recruitment 2025” section and click on the application link.
4. Fill out the application form with accurate personal, educational, and professional details.
5. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format, including a recent photograph and signature.
6. Pay the application fee online (if applicable) and submit the application.
7. Download and print the application confirmation.

Delhi Post-Graduate Teacher Selection Process

The selection process for PGT recruitment includes a One-Tier Examination that checks general skills and subject knowledge. The exam pattern has two parts. Section I covers syllabus from Mental Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness, English, Hindi, and Numerical Aptitude, worth 100 marks. Section II focuses on the candidate’s subject knowledge and teaching skills, worth 200 marks.

The test will be available in both Hindi and English, except for language-specific sections. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The final selection is based on the total marks scored in both sections, and the required passing marks depend on the candidate’s category.
